Howlin' The Blues

Today we have a Blues standard, sung by one of the most influential Blues artists of all time.  A protégé of Delta Blues artist Charley Patton, Howlin’ Wolf bridged the gap between Delta and Chicago Blues. He went on to get five songs on the Billboard national R&B charts, and made several albums and TV appearances.  Willie Dixon is credited with writing today’s song, although you can hear some of it in older songs by earlier blues artist, and Howlin’ Wolf was the first to record it.
