One of the "Three Kings of the Blues Guitar" (along with Albert King and B.B. King, none of whom were blood related), Freddie King is known for his distinctive guitar playing, and was major influence on electric blues music and on many later blues guitarist. His album, Let's Hide Away and Dance Away with Freddy King is one of my favorites. It ended up being a big influence for Surf music as well, and was retitled Freddy King Goes Surfin' for a 1963 re-release. Today’s song is from that album.
