Called a "potent fusion of funk, R&B, rock and Latin styles" which "produced a progressive soul sound”, War had the best-selling album of 1973. Today’s song is the second single released from that album. Originally, this was another Eric Burdon project. You’ll remember from a few weeks back that he was also from The Animals. After Burdon left War, the band considered changing their name to "The Music Band". Instead, they decided to continue as “War”.
